TFI Friday 29th Aug 2014™

This is a real TFI Friday™ notice. It’s back despite complete indifference by most of the population. FREE nibbles© along the front of the bar and some of the side bar for your appreciation. DodJ willing the bar will be open by 5.04 as the first of the new season. There will be a guess the wine and cheese competition® of a good example of viniculture under £50 per bottle. This week will probably be closer to that first digit but definitely under the £50 mark. Rules are rules after all. Make it your first stop after work every Friday and if you don’t work well stop off after whatever has filled your day! If you want to provide the wine, cheese or nibbles someday please just say!

RUGBY.

Thanks to all who supported the last pre-season game on Sat v Falkirk. Dundee missed a kick under the posts which would have won it but basically a very young Dundee team will have learned a lot about senior rugby. We picked up a few injuries which won’t help but Falkirk gave us a good test and looked a decent team.

Thanks to all our volunteers who helped on the day it is much appreciated. Always room for more!

A well supported wine and cheese made the club busy and that’s great. Many thanks and look forward to seeing you again soon at Mayfield.

Remember the Cup game away 30th Aug v Kirkcaldy 3pm KO.

Still a few spaces at the 1st Lunch club prior to the game v Marr RFC on the 6th Sept.

Sportsman’s Dinner at the Invercarse Hotel 17th Sept and if you would like to join the Club table just nobble your favourite contact. It’s a great occasion and the Club needs your support. Brian Moore is the headline speaker so sure he can handle any heckle. Neebs this is not a challenge!

There is a massed iced water challenge on Sunday at Mayfield if you want to join in at 12 midday. Could be a world record according to Guinness! Or was that a man drinking Guinness? No matter, come along for some fun and watersports. Bring your own towel.
